Today is Christmas Eve, the height of the holiday season. If you are buying gifts, wrapping gifts or buying food to share with family and friends, you are blessed. If you are financially strapped and your giving is limited, you are blessed. Why? Because each and every one of you has been given the best gift ever.
Christmas is not about our ability to give. It’s about what God gave to us – Jesus Christ. God created us to be with Him for eternity. Sin, however, detoured us from God’s plan and only a sinless blood sacrifice could put us back on track. Nothing and no one in this world fit the requirements.
